CORE is licensed to use a unique educational tool known as The Kids on the Block to teach young people of Medicine Hat about a variety of social topics.

The goal for the CORE Kids on the Block puppet troupe is for people with disabilities to have valued roles in the education of children within the community.  By partnering with local agencies, we provide educational programs to children about safety, social issues, disability awareness, and medical and educational differences.  Our puppeteers, volunteers and CORE employees, coordinate and deliver the programs geared toward the vision and mission of various local agencies.

Current educational programs include:

  • Safety on the Go (Auto, bus, recreational wheels and pedestrian safety)
  • Sun, Heat and Water Safety
  • Bullies and School Safety
  • Multiculturalism
  • Autism
  • Down syndrome
