order to provide the optimum approach for success. Strategies are shared with parents to reinforce skill development in the
home and community. Regular reviews are done on progress and adjustments made to the individualized plans to promote
growth and to encourage further development. Some developmental skills (depending on age and cognitive levels) which may be focussed on are: socialization, communication, gross and fine motor and life skills (toilet training, community awareness, bus training etc)

CORE Association has been providing behavioural support to children with disabilities for over 50 years. Through assessments and observations the types of behaviours, triggers and coping mechanisms are determined and an individualized support plan developed to assist with addressing these behavioural challanges.

Early intervention techniques are shared with behaviour support aides, parents and educators to help provide consistency in guiding these behaviours and applying these skills in the home and the community. Alternative skills are developed for each child to help them discover other methods to help them deal with their own behavioural challenges.

Changes may be made in the environment; sensory awareness and socialization skills developed to help eliminate stressors. Our approach is based on positive, non-restrictive principles of recognized behaviour intervention techniques form 1-2-3 Magic, Love & Logic and Pro-ACT.
